Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on January 5th 2020 about further national lockdown restrictions, we would like to reassure our patients that we remain open for all appointments.
Dentistry is classed as ‘Essential Healthcare’ so in line with government guidance our team will continue to look after our patients by continuing to adhere to COVID-19 protocols.
Given the spread risk of the current strain of the COVID-19 virus we are however advising patients who are clinically vulnerable or shielding to only access our services for emergency care.
If you are unsure what to do then please feel free to give us a call on 01782 631355 and a member of our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
It is our absolute priority to look after your safety and comfort at all times so we are working hard to source and verify the personal protective equipment (PPE) we need for our combined protection, and to undergo the relevant training required to use it correctly.
Understandably, the PPE we require is currently in great demand across the dental sector but now we have been given the correct guidance on what is required to make your visit safe we are making every effort to attain this.
Work on our extension and refurbishment has also been ongoing during the lockdown which is also temporarily limiting access to the practice so we are working closely with our contractors to make your next visit to the clinic as safe as possible.
If you were undergoing treatment prior to the lockdown please allow us to contact you as we need to risk assess and prioritise the patients with specific treatments who we are allowed to see, we will of course do this in as timely a manner as we are able to do so.
One of the team will contact you before your appointment, this may be via telephone, email or via the post. When you are contacted, we will need to obtain some further details before you can attend the clinic and will also help to provide additional information to explain in more clarity the changes we have had to make as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We understand the importance of keeping our patients informed so wanted to let you know that there will be some important changes to your visits during the next few months.
We have always adhered to the rigorous cross infection procedures set out by the governing bodies and all our team members are highly trained in all aspects of cross infection control, however, there are some additional COVID-19 procedures to follow and one of these is the social distancing rules that we have all become used to over the last couple of months.
These changes we have had to make are entirely new to us too, so we kindly ask that you are as cooperative with them as possible to help protect our staff and other patients during your visit.
We hope you understand that this is for everyone’s safety and we would appreciate your patience and cooperation as we negotiate these difficult times, please feel free to contact us with any queries.
If you have any questions please feel free to call us during normal clinic hours on (01782) 631355.
