What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a removeable teeth straightening system that uses custom made clear aligners as an alternative to metal/fixed braces. It has become increasingly popular over the past decade among patients who were worried about feeling self-conscious about being seen with a fixed brace.
Am I suitable for Invisalign®?
It is suitable for most people, although it is not always suitable for complex cases, and it is limited in multidisciplinary cases. An advantage of being treated by a dentist with experience in this type of orthodontics is that they are skilled in providing in depth diagnoses and using a range of orthodontic systems. They will therefore be able to assess whether the patient’s issue with their bite, spacing, or overcrowding can be effectively treated with Invisalign®.
How does Invisalign® work?
Made from a strong medical grade thermoplastic, Invisalign® clear aligners are designed to slowly realign the teeth with an appropriate placement of controlled movement. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® not only controls the amount of movement per aligner, but also the timing of the movement. So at each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move, as per the Invisalign® treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force
delivery system that moves teeth into the desired prescribed position.

Start wearing your aligners
When you collect your custom aligners, our Invisalign® Provider will provide another examination to ensure quality.
Regular review appointments
Check-ups roughly every 6-8 weeks to check your progress and collect your next set of aligners.
Your usual routine
Invisalign® aligners are virtually transparent and easy to take out, so you can eat and brush your teeth as normal.
